scams suck. and they trap a lot of people.
some of my friends think that only “stupid people” fall for scams. the data suggests otherwise. often it is the “smart people” that fall for scams … because they can rationalize odd behavior.
Check out craigslist’s scams and fraud section for some good examples of what to avoid.

While a majority of scam victims may be stupid, scammers themselves are very bright. I’ll put more on this topic on my blog soon.

rapleaf is a scam. a person can put another person’s email address on any website and rapleaf puts it on this website as if it’s fact. rapleaf is a perpetrator of stalking and falsehoods. i have asked rapleaf repeatedly to send me an email verification so i can monitor my contacts, yet they fail to send it. this site is not legitimate or responsible.
