Although we try and blog about all the great partners who integrate Rapleaf ratings, we occasionally miss some websites and partners that slip under the radar. Right now, we’d like to give an intro to those sites and show some more great ways that you can use Rapleaf to boost your own reputation and trust among your users.
Walamu is an online marketplace for Rutgers University in New Jersey. They have hundreds of textbooks listed in their marketplace, and also a classifieds section to browse housing listings. Of course, as a user of Walamu, you get to use the Rapleaf reputation system to make transacting safer among college students!
Vivirama is an upscale housing locator that lets you search for homes and vacation spots worldwide. Most of the housing listings on Vivirama are in Europe, but you can use the map to zoom in on locations anywhere and find that perfect place. Check out Vivirama for housing next to the Eiffel Tower, and then leave your property manager a Rapleaf rating!
6mmFlyRC uses Rapleaf in a really neat way. Instead of a standard testimonials page, they also display their Rapleaf reputation badge! They can easily gather customer feedback via Rapleaf and showcase their great score to their customers! This implementation of Rapleaf works great for web stores and small, niche businesses that want to differentiate themselves in the marketplace. Check out your account page for tips and tools on displaying your Rapleaf badge.
We’re always searching the web for sites that have plugged in Rapleaf as a way to gather customer feedback or make transactions safer among users. If you’ve stumbled across a great use of the Rapleaf score, we’d love to hear about it!
For this summer (and hopefully longer) we brought in two outstanding interns from the East Coast. First off, we have Dan….a marketing/product guru from Babson. You may recognize Dan - he created DormItem (one of our partner sites) and he’s already been posting on this blog. In the short time that he’s been here, Dan has been instrumental in pushing things forward and is gearing up to make profound changes to the site. Dan Scudder everyone…round of applause!

And to our right is Justin, a software engineer with more passion than passion fruit. Passion for no holds barred coding that is. Justin’s been here for about a week now (from Southern Illinois University) and we’re already having him lead on several projects. A little known fact about Justin: he plays the guitar. And given the musical talent on this team thus far, we could possibly moonlight as a Kiss coverband.
(NOTE: Both interns were caught off guard when the pictures were taken)
Rapleaf is now on Facebook.
You can add a Rapleaf Reputation application to your Facebook profile to display your reputation on the most popular social utility. This allows you to:
- Build trust among your peers
- Give your friends a more global view of who you are
- Show that you’re a trustworthy Facebook user
As always, Rapleaf is a great tool for commerce. If you buy and sell with other Facebook users, be sure to drop them a Rapleaf rating.

We just created a Rapleaf group on Facebook that you can join to meet other Rapleaf users! It’s just one more step to making the world a bit more ethical.

Looking to save the world but not quite sure where to start? How about exchanging items, or “switching” them, instead of producing new ones! Or, how about making a donation to a charity organization each time you make a switch? Those are some of the options that you have over at SwitchPlanet.com, an online community that is dedicated to reducing the impact of waste on the planet.
SwitchPlanet.com is the latest awesome commerce site to add the Rapleaf reputation system! Not only does SwitchPlanet do its part as an eco-friendly business, but they also understand the importance of ethical commerce.
On SwitchPlanet, you can find cool things like DVDs, CDs, and video games. With Switchbucs (their internal currency), you can find and exchange items you want. Pretty nifty!
We’re glad to have SwitchPlanet.com on board to drive a cleaner, ethical world!
Our Rapleaf partner Edgeio recently launched its classified boards product, and we suggest you check it out! Edgeio classified boards are a free, easy-to-use web program that lets any person create, customize, and manage their own classified board. If you have a blog or website, or you have a deep unsatisfied craving to build an online classifieds service, this is your chance to start one.
Edgeio lets you customize your board, as you have the option of creating a listing board for autos, jobs, housing, merchandise, services, or anything else that you want to create a marketplace for. For those who are business savvy, you can choose whether you want to offer free listings or charge a fee. If you charge a fee, you can make a profit! (the less business savvy can still make money)
Best part is that all the boards are automatically ethical because Rapleaf ratings are included in all the listings. Now if only more things were automatically ethical…
So if you want a quick and easy setup marketplace with Rapleaf included, edgeio is the place to go.
