Rapleaf Welcomes Ken Dreifach as General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer

We are pleased to announce Ken Dreifach has joined us as our General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer. We’re excited to have Ken on board to help us further our strong commitment to safeguarding people’s data as we build a more personalizable world.

“Ken brings to our team an in-depth knowledge of information privacy practices, and valuable strategic vision about incorporating privacy practices into business operations,” said Rapleaf’s CEO, Auren Hoffman.

Ken was formerly the Deputy General Counsel of Linden Lab, operators of the Second Life virtual world platform, where he handled compliance, regulatory and strategic legal matters.  Previous to that, Ken was Chief of the Internet Bureau of the Office of the New York Attorney General (2000-2006), where he led numerous enforcement matters safeguarding privacy and consumer rights.  He has been a partner and an associate at major international law firms, specializing in information technology and privacy.  Ken received his law degree from New York University School of Law, and a BA from Wesleyan University.
