I’m happy to announce that Rapleaf will be hosting a Cascading + Clojure Meetup in San Francisco, CA on September 24th. At this meetup, we’ll cover some real world uses cases of Cascading and Clojure and provide information on how these technologies are progressing. Here is what we have in store:
- Bradford Cross from FlightCaster will discuss his work with Clojure + Cascading.
- Nathan Marz from Rapleaf will cover how Rapleaf uses Cascading to do large scale batch querying.
- Chris Wensel from Concurrent, Inc. will cover Cascading 1.1, 1.5, and roadmap of changes.
We’re excited to share some of our experiences using these technologies and even more excited to hear how you all are making use of them.
The meetup will start at 6:30p and will go until about 9p.
Please take a moment to RSVP and let us know if you can make it.

can you guys post a video or pod cast of this?
+1 on a video feed – any chance that this one will be recorded? I’ll lend you my FLIP HD if it matters
Yes, we will be recording this and will post online afterwards.
Definitely coming, but I don’t yahoo. Call me particular, but I’d like to suggest using an RSVP service that doesn’t require account creation; there’s moboganda (http://www.mobaganda.com/) and google docs (http://➡.ws/creating_forms)
