We gather publically available information from the social web on hundreds of millions of people. Rapleaf has built the largest portable social graph in the world. We provide rich insight on customers for clients such as retailers, airlines, hotel chains, social networks, lead gen firms, telcos, political campaigns, and more; these clients learn about their consumers in order to give them a better user experience.

Note: This job is really hard. You’ll be working with some of the top search engineers in the world and they are going to expect that you kick ass. We’re doing things that no one has ever done before and solving problems that have been open for years.
Qualifications:
- Amazing coder who takes no prisoners. Master of all things Internet. One of the best coders in existence.
- Learn new languages extremely fast. We use Ruby on Rails … you can pick this up quickly.
- Intensely driven and proactive person.

Role:
- First product manager in the company and holistic owner of all the Rapleaf products
- Take charge with respect to product definitions, market requirements, product designs, and product strategy/roadmap
- Pro-actively work with management and partners to establish development priorities and essentially influence the direction and prioritization of engineering efforts
- Work closely with Rapleaf’s customers and potential customers to get feedback for new features and products
- Work closely with engineers to produce quick and powerful product iterations
- Quickly integrate feedback and research from existing and potential customers to define and evolve the business products
- Create the API docs (and other technical documentation), the API look and feel, and how developers would consume the API
- Help sell to existing business customers
- Report directly to the CEO
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of defining product requirements and producing successful products
- comfortable working with terabytes of data.
- Strong understanding of APIs and API documentation
- Solid experience building wireframes and mock-ups
- Outstanding coordination skills with the ability to effectively work across functional teams including sales, engineering, operations, and marketing

Incredible Systems/Network Administrator
You will maintain Rapleaf’s entire infrastructure and enhance the system to do great things, as we’re on the trajectory to change the world.
Role:
- Manage all Rapleaf servers (Linux - CentOS, Redhat), backups, web servers (Apache clusters)
- Manage relationship with hosting provider and hardware vendors
- Systems administration (DNS,LDAP,NFS,TCP/IP,SELinux)
- Scalability and expansion (Hadoop)
- Some scripting (Shell, Ruby, Python, or Perl)
- Administer MySQL databases (multi-master replication, snapshot backups)
- Learn how to scale with Ruby on Rails
- Manage billions of data items/pages being served
- On-call duty
